Gap analysis

If it is your desire to become registered to ISO 9000-2008, I can do an audit of your present systems and processes and advise you as to what work needs to be done to be compliant with this quality standard.  This information, in the form of a written report can be used to determine resource, cost and time estimates to become compliant.

Process Documentation

A process is defined as “A series of linked activities which transforms inputs into outputs”.  In order to be effective, processes and the resources used to accomplish the activities need to be managed.  Documenting a process provides at the very least, a common understanding of its inputs, the manner in which the activities are carried out and its outputs.  Whether you choose to document some or all of the processes in your company for reasons of performance consistency or to be registered to a Quality Standard, the manner in which they are documented and the complexity of the documentation can vary greatly.  Depending on the nature of the process or the desire of those working in it, documentation can take the form of text instructions, flow charts, control plans or a combination of these to name a few.  I will work with you to determine which format might be most suited to your needs and then using information gathered from those working in the process, produce documentation that will be easily understood by each employee.  In future, as processes change, the documentation can be easily edited by the process supervision as required.

If you wish, I can assist you in producing the documentation required to assemble an entire Quality Management System which will be compliant with ISO 900-2008 should you decide to be registered.  This documentation set usually consists of:

The ISO 9000 standard does have some requirements regarding the documentation that needs to exist but is in no way prescriptive as to its format.  I can assist you regardless of the format you choose or whether you decide to have your employees access the information via your network or hard copy.
